Why all hands high?
Ive been watching vids on youtube and on high-stakes poker has always seemed to be side pocket, Straights Flushes, etc., but when me and my mates play, pocket pairs are really rare and the highest is usually pair. Why shake hands poker tournaments always high?
What you see is every single hand that gets played. As said by the person before me, they choose good hands. If they will show every single hand was played, transmission will last for as long as all tournament, thats day footage, says an episode would last an hour, which means that there will be As 40 hours of footage, hands filled with boring, etc. .. People get really confused with this, like yourself, as it looks like players take nothing but good hands. What you may notice is that in some hands between the amount of chips a player has can to lift or move up without seeing any action from him, because thats the lost / won was not shown. I've seen bad things as someone who had 1,000,000 chips and other hand he was all-in with only about 300,000 left, he has lost 700 in between the two hands shown, but we do not know that.
